The fruits need a comparably long growing period. So, it can only be cultivated in warmer regions - e.g. our Pannonian climate.
Braeburn is a rather new apple cultivar from New Zealand. It is believed to have been discovered as a chance seedling on the wayside in 1952. It is thought that Cox Orange is a parent or grandparent cultivar.
